We are nestled in a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It’s secluded and tranquil with lots of areas to explore both in the countryside and on the coast. It’s a perfect location for exploring the coastal resort of Withernsea and its lighthouse museum approx. 4 miles away. It has some great beaches and rural country lanes making it an ideal location for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. There are a number of local stables located a short distance away. If you have your onw horse , you are very welcome to bring it along as the holiday accommodation has a number of pre bookable stables. Enjoy a ride on the beach approx. 15minutes drive away or ride within our enclosed arena located opposite the holiday accommodation. Get in touch for more details on bringing your horse.
There are also fishing lakes, golf courses, beautiful walking routes and country pubs
Another short drive away and worthy of a visit is the evocative landscape of Spurn National Nature Reserve, one of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s most iconic nature reserves. Take a stroll on the beach and you might be lucky and spot a seal. It’s very popular for bird watchers. Whether you go by foot, bike or aboard a Spurn Safari, visiting is always an adventure.
Heading in the opposite direction you can have the perfect day out into Hull, City of Culture in 2017, which has the Deep, the colourful and vibrant Humber street which houses a range of independent shops, galleries, pop up events, cafes, trendy bars and eateries and also its own Gin Distillery. All this before you reach the iconic Hull Marina which houses an abundant range of pleasure craft. There are many free museums in which you can spend a full day immersing yourself into the deep rooted history Hull has to offer. The street life museum with all the sights and sounds of bygone days which bring the past alive. There’s the anti- slavery Wilberforce House, Hull and East Riding Museum, art galleries and the beautiful Minster which is always worthy of a visit.
Another area to explore is the old town with it’s cobbled streets, old buildings and traditional drinking establishments, a contrast from the Marina. There is the Hull Ale trail which takes you around some of the oldest pubs in the city which include George Hotel – Hull’s oldest surviving licensed pub with the smallest window in England, Ye Olde Black Boy – Hull’s oldest pub dating from 1337 and Ye Olde White Harte where allegedly the plotting for the Civil War took place.
If entertainment is what you are looking for then Hull has 3 theatre’s and also the Bonus arena, all of which have lots of choice be it music, concerts, plays or even West End shows, it’s all happening in Hull. There’s are a number of Cinema’s and even the ice skating rink if you fancy getting active
For those of you who like a bit of retail therapy head to Princess Quay, St Stephens and the Prospect Centre


Downstairs there’s a fully fitted kitchen which comes with a washing machine included. Open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. Outside there’s a completely enclosed, private garden with a wood fired hot tub. Dressing gowns are supplied as an added touch of luxury. Don’t forget your swimwear and flip flops. For your safety plastic glasses are provided within the accommodation for the hot tub.
There’s plenty of space for off road parking and also an electric car charging point.
